a little about me

I began counseling clients in 2013, maintaining a small private practice in South Queen Anne and South Lake Union in Seattle, WA.  I recently moved my practice north to Marysville, WA.  As a volunteer in various settings, I have fostered the emotional care and solidarity of individuals, couples and communities for many years.  I lead deep listening and discernment meetings for individuals and groups regarding identity formation and times of transition.   In addition to a mental health counseling practice, my recent work includes my pastoral degree, creating a synergy of spiritual and counseling therapy for those clients who prefer a holistic collaboration. In 2018-2020 I served on staff for the Certificate in Resilient Service at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. I am currently licensed in WA state as a Certified Counselor. 

As a relational counselor, I offer a hospitable space to enter the stories of your past, be present without judgement, and to wonder with you how they are informing us about your whole person.  I will listen with you to what you may already be saying in words, actions, dreams, relationships and any other elements of your past and current experiences that you choose to bring to our sessions together. I will lend integrity, encouragement and compassion for exploring places of avoidance and resistance to the healing or change that you are desiring. Through active listening and curiosity, I will work to discover with you the fullest and freest expression of yourself as a person in relationship with yourself as well as to those around you.  I look forward to working with you as you consider what change, healing and wholeness may look like for you.
